TECNOLOGIES

HELICEX® Technology:
  • Higher power handling capacity. The thermal limit is effectively reduced, allowing the voice coil to work 80ºC below comparing to our previous thermal circuit.
  • Reduced power compression losses, which allows to keep the final SPL (Sound Pressure Level) in more constant values within a working period.
  • More stable and linear behaviour of the moving assembly in long excursions thanks to the new system design, reducing offset issues commonly related to asymmetries in non-linear components (mainly Bl(x), L(x) and Kms(x)).
  • Dynamic response. The efficiency of the HELICEX® system allows to use 5” or 4” voice coil diameter (depending on model), which means lower Mms values and better control of the moving assembly compared to other systems and comparable products available nowadays, as well as lower overall weights of the speaker because of an optimized dimensioning of the mechanical assembly.

MMSS Technology (Mechanical Mirror Suspension System):

Ideally the moving assembly behaviour must be the same in positive and negative excursions. To provide this attribute correctly depends on the magnetic circuit design but also on the suspension system characteristics.

Our tool for achieving a symmetric movement pattern is the MMSS Technology, which provides to our engineers a complete set of components with their parameters in long excursion terms.

NCR Membrane (Neck Coupling Reinforcement):

Because we have solved part of the thermal problem and our subwoofers handle higher power signals, our internal validation procedures are more exigent than the standard ones (AES, IEC…), and forced our engineers to adapt the speakers to the new limits from the mechanical point of view. This was implemented in our SW1600Nd family.

Strong efforts and modes are affecting the cones. The simulations have provided the reinforcement needs. The final result is the NCR, were the membrane design has been done balancing the strength and the weight. The fatigue tests have shown that the drivers can work in extreme conditions, confirming the simulations.
